Summerfest

Heisman and I went to summerfest one night for rides and fireworks. He tried a new ride this summer - the swings - and loved it!

Fourth of July

We had some friends (the Irelands) come visit for a day of fun. Tony and Scott played some gold during the day and Erica and I hung out with the little guys playing bags, baseball, water guns, etc. We all watched the fireworks at Prairie Meadows. I thought Madden would be scared but he did great.... On the fourth we went to a little parade and grilled out and had a fire with the neighbors. Heisman actually got a little burn from the neighbor girl's sparkler! Yikes! I took him the eye doctor just to check things out and everything was fine.

Bikes, parks, slip n slide.... Fun!

We have been outside a ton this summer!!! Family bike rides are fun and sometimes we ride a few miles to get a snow cone or treat from the gas station.  Heisman rides his own bike and Madden usually chooses to ride on Tony's bike. I have a bike trailer that he rides in with me during the day and Tony has a cool front child seat so Madden gets to have a great view on the ride. He loves it (so did Heisman)! We tried the movie one day and Madden wasn't that into it, which I was kind of expecting but we made it.... Parks are a part of our weekly routine and the slip n slide was a hot ticket for a few weeks as well.... We love summer!!!

June

I took the boys home to Algona for a few days when Tony was out of town. We had so much fun on the farm and Heisman and I did a little fishing as well.

We got to see the entire Keith family which included a family kickball game and fireworks!

Madden and Karson.... how cute!!

Glow fun with Cale and Merriam

We did the Color Vibe as a family and loved getting blasted by paint! Mom, Randy and Allison even volunteered to throw the paint at us while we ran. It was so much fun!

A few more June pictures.....
We have been all about bugs this summer!

Playtime pictures

I was trying to get some pictures of the boys for a father's day gift idea for Tony.  Heisman was very cooperative and creative - Madden would barely look at me!!!

Baseball

This was Heisman's second year in t ball and it was awesome to see how much he improved! Last year he loved the hitting and running bases but wasn't that excited about the outfield.  This year he loved it all and went after the ball almost every time. Tony and I even had to tell him to back off and let some of his teammates get a chance to get the ball! The funniest part about him getting the ball is that he will proudly hold it up and show it to me and Tony before throwing it to 1st base :) He was also the only one who slid into home plate.  They don't teach that yet but he learned it from watching his cousins.  Madden did great cheering him on and he cannot wait until it's his turn to play ball!
