Summer!!!

I say this every year but we love summer!!!! Late nights, lazy days, swimming, friends - the fun never ends! All three kids love the pool. Heisman has turned into such a brave swimmer. He passed the swim test right away so there are often times when he finds a friend and goes to deep end to jump in, go down the slides or the diving boards. Madden is becoming a strong swimmer too and he's great hanging in the shallow end with me and Callaway.
We play outside a lot! Basketball and riding bikes is the boys favorite. Callaway loves to go on walks and just get into anything and everything in the garage.
Madden was in Madison and Jake's wedding in June. He was so adorable!!
We wish it was summer all the time!

Baseball

We spent the first month of summer at the baseball fields. This year Heisman was in coach recovery. The kids pitch four balls and then if needed, the coach pitches another four. It was fun to see the boys improve so much! Heisman's favorite position is either pitcher or first base. We took the boys and parents to an ICubs game. Each boy got to do something: play catch on the field before the game, stand with the players during the national anthem, Heisman threw out the first pitch, burger race, pony race (Madden did this and his little legs weren't long enough. He basically bounced in place!), sang the seventh inning stretch. Good times!!!
Madden played tee ball and was lucky enough to be on a team with Wilson. I will saw that Madden is ready for more of a challenge in baseball. He gets the game, hits great and throws/catches pretty well too. He loves to slide into home because then I have to wash his pants!

Tubes and Hand Foot Mouth

Poor Callaway has had fluid in her ears for 3 months. This fluid will not go away so she keeps getting ear infections. We have tried lots of different medications and even a series of shots but nothing is working. Tubes here we come!

Also, her room at daycare has HFM. She has it the worst! So many blisters and it itches too. The worst part is her little thumb is all blistered and she is a thumb sucker.

Easter

The weather was great for the Easter egg hunt this year! Callaway had lots of help filling her bucket. Probably too much help! It was so fun being outside.... She also did a little face plant at daycare. Poor girl. 

Snow much fun

We didn't have a lot of snow time this winter. The boys had fun playing with neighbor friends - snowmen, snowball fight - while Callaway watched. In March, we finally all got to use some Christmas presents and paint in the snow! Callaway loved it when the boys pulled her in the sled.
