Basketball

Heisman is becoming quite the baller these days. Tony helped coach his team this year and both boys had a lot of fun. By the last game, I noticed Heisman was being kind of a ball hog and shooting it every time instead of passing to a teammate. It was great to see him being so aggressive and competitive but we probably need to work on teamwork a little :) Madden brings his basketball along and plays during warm ups, halftime and after games. He will be in the action next year!

Almost baby time!!!! Both boys say that they want another brother. I have been thinking boy the entire time (until proven otherwise). Either way will be fine. We have everything - and then some- if we have another boy and we would love a little pink in our lives! The hardest part of this pregnancy is picking a name! Madden has been so into my belly lately. It's pretty adorable. He talks to the baby every night and loves to feel the baby move. Heisman has been through this before so he's not as into it as Madden but he does think it's cool to feel the baby move. Can't wait to meet this baby!!!

January snow

I felt like we didn't have a lot of snow play this winter. I think the boys only played outside a handful of times. I managed to get outside one or two times but it was tough getting snow boots on and squeezing into my snow pants (only a month away from baby!). Luckily we have great neighbor kids so the boys had a fun time building snowmen and having snowball fights with them.

Christmas

Our elf on the shelf, Buster, was back again this year and the boys enjoy finding him each morning and it helps remind them to be good. Sometimes Buster does a few funny things like draw a mustache on their pictures, decorate the house with a little more Christmas flair, leave a message, etc. We made our annual trip to Bass Pro to see Santa and bowl. It was really fun and I won at bowling (even 7 months pregnant)! Heisman asked Santa for Dino Chargers and Madden asked for Cars. Both boys have been pretty good this year. We had a few Christmases in Algona and Mount Pleasant but were able to be home on Christmas Eve and day. I can't believe next year we will have 3 kiddos!

Madden soccer

After a few years of Madden always tagging along to Heisman's games it was finally Madden's turn! He played a few weeks of indoor soccer and loved it! You could definitely tell he understood the game a little more than a few other kiddos. I guess that comes from watching his big brother. He played the whole time, ran all over the place, played a little goalie (even though they didn't really want him to), scored a few goals and did a little victory dance as well. We can't wait to see this kid compete when he gets older. Watch out!!!
