Park City, Utah

Heisman got to take his second plane ride a few weeks ago when we went to visit Tony's sister, Kristi.  The plane ride was ok.  He fell asleep both flights but only for 20 minutes or so.  He couldn't get comfy since he was sitting on my lap and just wanted to lay down and stretch out.  After a short, crabby, whiny 10 minutes, the rest of the flight was fine.
Park City was so pretty and the weather was perfect!  We had a lot of fun catching up with Kristi and spending time with Grandma and Grandpa Dickinson!!  Kristi took us to a fun kid's park where Heisman got to ride some rides and we also took him up the mountain on a ski lift and he rode with me down a really long slide.  It looks like a water slide but you sit on a scooter.  It was really fun!!!

We went to an Olympic Park where there is a ski jump show for future Olympic hopefuls to practice.  Since it's summer time, they jump into the pool.  It was really neat!

Took a carriage ride...

Kristi also took us to a lake up in the mountains and we had a picnic.  Since it was pretty high up, there was still snow!!!

Kristi is the assistant spa director at the Montage Hotel in Park City.  She gave us a tour of the hotel and it was amazing!!!  Amazing views, rooms, amenities and prices :)  It's such a fabulous hotel!

Thanks Kristi for a great trip!!!  Miss you!

I Cubs - First Pitch

We celebrated Tony's birthday at the I Cubs game on Sunday.  Heisman threw out the first pitch and he did such a great job!!  We were debating on letting him throw the ball on his own or have Tony hold him and throw the ball (what they did last year).  We decided to let him try it and he went out there and threw it right away!  The rest of the game was spent in the sky box with family and friends.  Thanks for helping us celebrate Tony's birthday!

Summer fun

School has been out for about 2 weeks now and we have been loving every minute!  We've been to the zoo, pool, park, library and even the Principal Charity Golf Classic.  Tony does a lot with the tournament so he was "working" on the golf course all last week.  He was actually really busy and had long days but I'm not sure how much work he really did :)

We've settled into a nice summer schedule.  We try to play outside in the morning before it gets too warm, then we have lunch and Heisman takes a nice long nap (I get a short nap in some days too).  After nap we go back outside.  Some days we go to the pool and other days we just play with the neighbor kids.  The only thing I don't like about summer is making 3 meals a day!!  I do not enjoy cooking!

This Sunday is Tony's birthday and he and Heisman will be throwing out the first pitch at the I Cubs game!  Woo hoo!

Ty and Heisman looking at the T Rex dinosaur at the zoo exhibit... Not sure if they are scared or amazed

Waving bye bye to the monkeys

"Quiet Please" - Heisman had a hard time following all the golf etiquette

Almost summer!!

Only 3 more days of school!!!  Woo hoo!!!  I can't wait for summer!  Heisman and I are looking forward to play dates, sleeping in (yeah right), swimming, playing outside, swimming lessons, etc.  We have been busy the last few weeks having fun....

Trying sweet corn...

Going to Sesame Street Live....

Heisman really liked Sesame Street.  He was clapping, saying all the character's names and waving bye bye to them whenever they would leave the stage.  My friend, Krista and her son Tate, came with us too :)

Katie is Heisman's daycare provider and she took them to the zoo today!!...

Heisman and Hayden riding the choo choo :)

Lastly, Heisman has so much fun at Katie's house and we really like her!!  She does so much stuff with the kids (parks, zoo, walks, crafts, etc).  Here are some of Heisman's craft projects....

This was my mother's day present from Heisman this year :)

Outside :)

Heisman and I went to my parents house last weekend and we had a lot of fun!  We were able to go to a few track meets and see my younger siblings compete (and they all did awesome).  We fed the horses on my parent's farm and visited the neighbors to see their baby horses.  Heisman also got to drive the tractor a little.

Due to this crazy summer weather, we got Heisman's new water table out and he loves it!!!  He also loves trying to get me with water :)

April

Tony painted the garage floor a few weeks ago.  Here are some before and after pictures....

My family came down for Easter and it was nice weather so we got to play on Heisman's playground :)  Tony also took all of us for a ride on the Hawkeye bus.  Heisman loved it!!!

We had a quick trip to Cedar Rapids over the weekend and we all got to see some friends.  Heisman got to play with Gavin Ireland and Addison and Logan Seamans.  It was so much fun catching up with everyone!
