School excitement

I actually forgot to post this awhile ago but Heisman has lost two teeth this school year! The first one was at the end of September and I was eating lunch with him and it literally fell out of his mouth and onto the floor when he took a bite of his sandwich! It was great to be there with him! The second one fell out eating a candy bar at home about 2 weeks later..... Plus, Heisman was selected as the artist of the month. So exciting!

Halloween

When I asked the boys what they wanted to be for Halloween this year Heisman said he would be a black ninja - again. I thought for sure he would want to go buy a new costume but if he was good with last year's costume, so was I. Madden was Buddy from the Dinosaur Train and he shook his tail (booty) all night long! The weather was great and of course the Kline cousins (and a few friends) came up and we set a new candy record with 83 pounds! Yikes!

Madden is 3!

Happy birthday Madden! Three years old! I would say that Madden is a snuggler and an entertainer. He still sucks his thumb and wants to cuddle with my arm a lot, which is kind of weird. He makes us laugh a lot! He dances around and shakes his booty a lot. Calls everyone chicken butt (thanks neighbor kids). He is into hot wheel cars and monster trucks right now and of course anything Heisman is doing. The biggest accomplishment is he is potty trained! It really only took a few days. Both boys were pretty easy. Lots of birthday fun!

Soccer

We are starting to get a little more serious with soccer. Heisman has practice two nights a week and games on Saturday. He really enjoys it and has improved so much! He says he likes playing defense but he loves to score a goal so who knows? Madden also loves going to practice and games because he can run around, kick the ball and he even has a few little friends to play with. He can't wait his turn to play for real!

Center Grove

We made our annual trip to Center Grove Orchard and it's just as much fun as it was the first time. They did add a train which the boys really enjoyed. By the time we were ready to leave at the end of the night they were out of donuts! Bummer! We still grabbed some caramel apples and an apple pie though. Yummy!

School!!!

Ah! Where did the summer go? It is time to get back to the real world. Work for mom and school for the boys. Heisman is starting kindergarten and will be at the same school as me. We are both pretty excited about it! Madden is moving into the 3's room at daycare and is looking forward to seeing some of his friends.

Heisman's teacher gave the kids a welcome letter. Inside it there was a special glitter that the kids were to put under their pillows the night before school started. It was going to help them sleep with all of their excitement and give them sweet dreams. It was pretty adorable!

Race time!

We have signed the boys up for the YMCA fun run the last few years and they love it! It's really low key and everyone gets a ribbon. Plus, the boys think it's fun. Both boys have some speed (obviously from their mother). Poor Madden even fell down but got right up and finished with no tears and still in the middle of the pack. What a tough kid! Boys did great!
