Start of summer

We love summer!!! We started off right with the slip and slide one day. Heisman did a week of Vacation Bible School and loved it! We have the CD with all of the VBS songs and he is really good at singing and doing the actions! Plus he likes to show off for everyone too. He is now doing Safety Town. So far they have rode the school bus, walked to the fire station, had a police officer come and talk about stranger danger and learned about bike safety. He really likes that too. Madden and I miss Heisman in the mornings but it is kind of nice having a little one on one time with Madden. It reminds me of when it was just me and Heisman. Next week we have plans to visit my parents :)

Science center

We had to go see the dino exhibit before it left town and we're so glad we did! There were so many cool dinosaurs! Plus all of the other fun stuff at the science center. Heisman either has a future in dinos or maybe he'll be a weather man?!?!

Easter

Last weekend Allison and I took the boys to the town Easter egg hunt. It was a little chilly but still fun! The kids are split up by age group and Madden's age all of the parents still run out with their kids. It was so busy with everyone out there. Madden was a little overwhelmed with so many people around him. He did manage to get 4-5 eggs which was plenty for him. Heisman's age group is so much easier because most parents stay off to the side and the kids run out on their own. Heisman was lucky enough to pick up an egg with a paper in it saying he could choose a special prize! He was so excited! He chose a cool bubble gun and a huge box of sidewalk chalk...... Easter at our house was also fun. Heisman was on a mission to get as many eggs as possible and Madden was distracted by the candy inside the eggs! They each got a scooter, books, bubbles, flip flops and water balloons for this summer!

Spring break

We had such a great week of spring break! The weather was awesome so we were outside as much as possible. We took a little trip to Omaha for a few days. Stayed at a hotel with an indoor water park and arcade room. We spent one day at the zoo. The boys loved seeing the all of the animals and the imax 3D movie was a hit too! The weather was amazing... 85 degrees! I didn't take very many pictures at the zoo but Heisman brought his camera and took a picture of almost every single animal. Funny! Heisman's favorite was the white tiger and Madden ended up picking out a stuffed giraffe to take home. My favorite was the lion. He let out a real roar when we were at his cage. It was cool! We also spent a morning at the children's museum which was a blast!

Snowman

Just a few winter pictures. Heisman wanted to build his own snowman and Madden is sitting in his snow chair just watching :)

Basketball

Heisman played six weeks of basketball this winter and did pretty well. He is definitely enjoying it a little more but still gets distracted by what's happening on the side lines. I think he had 10 points in one of his games. It was really fun watching him improve. Madden brought a ball and dribbled on the side and was constantly asking if it was his turn yet. The minute the game was over he would run out there and play. He can't wait to get into the action!

Chocolate

This was just a funny gross picture I wanted to share. Madden had a super runny nose and a mouthful of M&M's one night. He was running around the house and this happened..... chocolate snot!
