Outside :)

Heisman and I went to my parents house last weekend and we had a lot of fun!  We were able to go to a few track meets and see my younger siblings compete (and they all did awesome).  We fed the horses on my parent's farm and visited the neighbors to see their baby horses.  Heisman also got to drive the tractor a little.

Due to this crazy summer weather, we got Heisman's new water table out and he loves it!!!  He also loves trying to get me with water :)



April

Tony painted the garage floor a few weeks ago.  Here are some before and after pictures....

My family came down for Easter and it was nice weather so we got to play on Heisman's playground :)  Tony also took all of us for a ride on the Hawkeye bus.  Heisman loved it!!!

We had a quick trip to Cedar Rapids over the weekend and we all got to see some friends.  Heisman got to play with Gavin Ireland and Addison and Logan Seamans.  It was so much fun catching up with everyone!

Spring

Heisman's two favorite words these days are "outside" and "swing."  We have such a great neighborhood of families there is always someone more fun (than me and Tony) to play with!  It's also nice having some older kids that love playing with Heisman and will gladly watch him for a little while if I need to get a few quick things done. 



Heisman also has a little bit of a temper when he doesn't get his way!  He has bitten another boy at daycare twice and he knows that it's a No No and Owie.  If I am busy making supper or something and not paying enough attention to him.  He will say, "Mom, I bite."  I think that is his way of getting my attention because I always stop what I'm doing and say, "No, no that's owie."  What a stinker!

We bought a playground for Heisman and they installed it today!  We're so excited to play on it this summer!

Cars

Heisman loves playing with his cars!  He lines them all up over and over again :) 

Puddles

We love the nice weather!!!  Heisman loves playing outside.  We go on walks (some in the stroller and some we are all walking), jump in puddles, throw balls and I even took him for a few short bike rides this week.  I have one of those cool trailer/carts that you pull with your bike (thanks Kelly and Jeremy!).  We rode to the park today to enjoy this beautiful weather.  I knew it would be wet and Heisman would love it.  He is wearing his snow boots in these pictures but I just got back from Kohl's where I bought him some rain boots :) 

Basketball game

We went to the UNI vs Drake basketball game and Heisman loved it!!!  He loved watching the game, hearing the band, seeing the balloon blimp and petting Spike (Drake bulldog).  He was yelling and clapping the whole time.  There were two things that he didn't like.... 1. The mascot for the Drake Bulldogs, he was freaked out by him and 2. UNI lost by 3 :(  Oh well, it was such a great game and we all had a lot of fun!!!
