Arizona

All three of us went to Arizona last weekend to visit some good friends (the McCabes!) and Tony went to the Iowa game.  We had so much fun!!!  Heisman did an amazing job on the plane and had a great time playing with Madyx and Avery.  He was still on Iowa time while we were there, which meant waking up at 4:45, lunch at 10, supper at 4 and bedtime at 6.  The only bummer about the trip was the Iowa loss :(  We hope to see the McCabe family again soon!  Thanks guys for all of your hospitality!

Heisman spent the day with his cousins while Tony and I went to the Iowa game last Saturday.  I-O-W-A!

Walking

Heisman has been walking for a few months with holding onto furniture or his little walker toys. He's taken a few steps here and there but the last few days he has been trying to walk non stop. He doesn't seem to mind falling down. He'll be walking full time any day now! Watch out!

New basement carpet

We woke up around 1:30 am on Tuesday night because our power went out from one of the major storms.  We've never lost power for more than a few minutes before but this night it was out for 5 hours!  We went downstairs to unplug and move some furniture and our carpet was already wet after just half an hour.  We didn't know what else to do besides wait for the power to come back on.  Finally, at 6:30 Wednesday morning it came back on.  Needless to say our basement was completely soaked!  The water only came from the sump pump so at least we didn't have it in our windows or from the drain.  Our furniture is fine.  The carpet is the only thing that was ruined.  Luckily, Tony had some great help getting the furniture moved, carpet and pad out and drying the basement floor.  We thought about trying to save the carpet but ended up deciding just to replace it.  So our insurance company is sending us a check for new carpet :)  What a mess!

Just for fun

We went to the Barnstormers game a few weeks ago and we got to go down for the coin toss.  It was pretty neat and Heisman loved all the action!
